A Spooky Season Elopement at Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville, TN
Some love stories are anything but ordinary, and honestly, those are some of my favorites. 🖤
On October 26, 2026, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a very special elopement celebration at Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee. And what made this day even more meaningful? This historic cemetery was where their love story began, with their very first date taking place right there among the old headstones and beautiful, timeless scenery.
What better place to celebrate a love like theirs than somewhere that already held a special place in their story? Add in the fact that it was just in time for spooky season, and you have the kind of session that makes my creative heart ridiculously happy.
A Love Story That Breaks the Mold
Old Gray Cemetery is one of Knoxville's historic landmarks, with a history spanning more than 170 years. Its weathered headstones, beautiful old trees, and quiet pathways create an atmosphere that feels completely different from a traditional wedding venue. There's something incredibly special about a place that holds so much history, and even more special about returning to the place where your own story began.
For these two, this wasn't just a pretty location for wedding photos. It was personal. It was meaningful. It was theirs.
Their elopement on 10-26-26 was a celebration of their love in a place filled with memories, surrounded by the kind of atmosphere that perfectly suited their story. And getting to document their photos on the very same day they eloped made the experience even more special.
Creative, Unconventional, and Completely Them
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to help people bring their visions to life, especially when those visions don't fit inside the traditional wedding box.
Give me a unique location, an unconventional love story, a little spooky-season magic, and a couple who isn't afraid to be themselves, and I'm in my element!
As someone who has always had an alternative, artsy side, I love working with couples who embrace what makes them different. You don't have to want a big white wedding, a traditional venue, or a perfectly conventional set of portraits to deserve beautiful photographs. Maybe your dream wedding involves a historic cemetery. Maybe it's a courthouse elopement, a forest at sunset, a vintage aesthetic, or something wonderfully weird that nobody else would think of.
Your love story doesn't have to look like anyone else's.
I want my couples to feel comfortable dreaming outside the box. I love getting creative, finding ways to bring your ideas to life, and making photographs that feel personal to you rather than like a copy of someone else's wedding gallery.
And if you're a little alternative, a little unconventional, or just someone who has never quite fit the mold? You are absolutely my kind of people. 🖤
Wedding Photos in Less Than 24 Hours?!
One of the best parts of this elopement was being able to deliver their fully edited photos in less than 24 hours!
I know how exciting it is to want to relive your wedding day, share your favorite moments, and finally see the photographs you've been waiting for. That's why I work hard to get your memories back to you quickly without sacrificing the care and attention each image deserves.
For these two, their October 26 elopement memories were back in their hands in under a day. No waiting weeks to revisit the excitement, the emotion, and all those little moments that made their celebration uniquely theirs.
Because when you've just married your favorite person, I know you want to show off those photos!
