Wide-Eyed & Wonderful: A Fresh 48 Baby Girl at Fort Sanders Medical Center
Some babies spend their Fresh 48 session mostly sleepy and snuggled up, but this sweet girl had a completely different plan! During her Fresh 48 newborn photography session at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville, TN, she kept her beautiful eyes wide open for most of the session, giving us plenty of adorable expressions to remember.
She had already mastered the art of making a whole collection of faces—from sweet and curious to completely serious and everything in between. Those tiny expressions are one of my favorite things about Fresh 48 sessions because they capture so much personality right from the very beginning. Even in the first couple of days, you can already start getting little glimpses of who your baby might become.
Her hospital hat and blankets were included throughout the session, documenting all those tiny details that make the first few days so special. There is something so nostalgic about looking back at the little hospital hat, the swaddle blankets, and just how incredibly tiny your baby was during those first hours.
Mom also joined her for a few photographs, creating beautiful images of the two of them together. These quiet moments between a new mom and her baby are some of the most meaningful photographs to have—the sleepy cuddles, tiny fingers, and the overwhelming feeling of finally getting to hold the little person you've been waiting for.
Fresh 48 Newborn Photography in Knoxville, TN
Fresh 48 photography is all about documenting your baby's first 48 hours in a natural and relaxed way. Instead of heavily posed newborn photography, these sessions focus on the real details of your hospital stay: your baby's first little expressions, their hospital hat and blankets, tiny fingers and toes, and those first connections between baby and family.
As a Knoxville Fresh 48 photographer, I photograph families at local hospitals including Fort Sanders Medical Center, University of Tennessee Medical Center, and Parkwest Medical Center. My goal is to make your session easy and stress-free while preserving all of those fleeting details you'll want to remember years from now.
And if your baby decides to stay wide awake for most of the session? Even better! Those curious eyes and hilarious newborn expressions can make for some of the most memorable images in your gallery.
